WOW!! I was amazed at how heavy the box was, you will need a good strong work bench for this beast. I've loaded every angle of picture of this unit so you can see the quality and H.D. construction of this 8" grinder.

For the extra $40.00 dollars or so cost over some of the other higher quality grinders on the market I am very happy I paid the extra $ for the JET 8" Grinder.

I did have one wheel that had about a 1/16" run out, so I called JET customer service and they are sending me 4 new wheel flange washers @ NO CHARGE !! and were very happy to help no problem. So I needed to remove the wheel anyway to install my new H.D. wire wheel and all is well.

So with an excellent product and a customer service department backing me up, I am thrilled.
(Just watch your back when you left this box)

Great piece of equipment!

This Jet 10-inch grinder is a greave value for the price. The machine is heavy but has two mounting holes that you MUST use when setting this thing up. The machine requires almost no assembly other then mounting the tool guards and the plastic shields. The motor is completely sealed and does not require oil or grease. Instructions were helpful and contain good safety information for using this machine. We are using this in a mining equipment repair facility and it is holding up well. Unit replaced a 30yr old Black and Decker grinder. Very satisfied.


jet 8 inch grinder

I have used one of these for the professionally making medieval armour.

it has ground stainless and titanium day after day with not issue for the last 15 years... until I ran an unbalanced 10 inch composite wheel and put a wobble in one arm. it still works great but since one side if now off true it vibrates when I have a wheel on it. I am still using it and used ti today but since I need both sides I am due for another one.
I cannot give my Jet grinder enough thanks for its years of great service.
