The 748 dewalt bench grinder best bank for the buck.
I picked it up today and also purchased a wire wheel. I have been using it on and off all day. I'm a gunsmith and it is a very popular tool in the shop. I used a Delta 8" prior and when it shot craps because of the computer board fried,(it could be ran at variable speeds) I found out it was going to cost $86 for a new board plus labor. I only paid $99 for it at lowes. I only owned it for a year. The Dewalt is very smooth doesn't even need to be bolted down, Very smooth and one speed is all you need. I plan on using this grinder a long time and it seems to match several of my other dewalt tools in my garage. Thats what happens when you have a superior product match with good customer service.
Perfect out of the box!
After installing the view shields and the tool rests. I bolted the grinder to the stand and Presto, perfection the first time. No wobble, not even the slightest bit of balance issue.
This grinder has a good amount of power and it is a lot of bang for not so much buck. The tool rests are also a nice feature and they are very stable.
This has been a very nice addition to my shop.
